How to setup internet on your phone
Vodacom Customers
1. On your cell phone dial *111#
2. Select option 5 (phone settings) from the menu that follows
3. Select option 1 to choose phone make/model from list or opt to have your phone identified
4. In both cases, simply follow the steps as provided to have you WAP settings activated
5. You will receive an SMS with your settings, save these settings
6. if prompted for your password - 0000
MTN Customers
1. On your cell phone dial *123#
2. Select option 1 (phone settings) from the menu that follows
3. Select option 3 (WAP)
4. You will receive an SMS with your settings, save these settings
5. if prompted for your password - 0000
6. if any of the above steps fail, simply retry.
7. Still having trouble dial 808 (contract) or 173 (pay as you go) or visit an MTN outlet near you.
Cell C Customers
1. Send a free sms containing the word "smardata" to 084 155 9911
2. You'll receive an sms confirming that you requested smartdata settings & any password is required
3. if prompted for your password - 0000
4. You will then receive an SMS from Cell C
5. Select save on your cell phone to save the settings, if a password is requested enter 0000
Virgin Mobile Customers
1. When inserting your sim into phone you will receive an SMS asking you to accept settings
2. If you reply yes your settings will be automatically downloaded to your phone.
3. To manually request wap settings, go to Virgin Mobile Menu
4. Select Virgin Mobile
5. Select Virgin Settings and reply yes when asked to download them
6. GPRS/3G can only be activated by the person in whose name the contract was taken out.
